What We Believe

We believe in one personal God who exists eternally in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the creator of all things and is knowable through His Spirit in creation, in the Bible, and in the person of Jesus Christ.

God created humans in His image for the purpose of being in deeply personal relationship with Himself and to rule the earth.  Humans were created male and female by God and afterwards fell into sin through disobeying God’s perfect design.

When humans sinned, they were separated from God.  We believe that sin is the primary issue of humanity and that it impacts every aspect of our personhood and our world, including creation.  No human is sinless, therefore all humans are in need of salvation from their sin and the wrath of God that rightly judges sin. Sin leads to death and eternal separation from God in a real hell.

God in His love sent His son, Jesus Christ, being fully God and fully man, to live a sinless life, to die a substitutionary sacrifice for sin, and to raise from the dead bodily.  He has ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for the saved. Salvation is given as a free gift to anyone who repents of their sin and receives Christ by faith.

God, the Holy Spirit, convicts people of their sin, draws them to faith in Jesus Christ, indwells those who receive Christ, makes believers new creations, guides them in their walk with Christ, renovates them daily, and reassures them of their salvation.  The Holy Spirit also empowers believers to live out the commandments of God and gives gifts to believers.

We believe the Bible is the accurate, truth, authoritative, and powerful Word of God.

We believe God created all things to be good and humans in His image.  Creation has fallen along with humanity and waits for its freedom from corruption, yet still displays the eternal power and divine nature of God.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to establish His kingdom.

All who have received Christ through faith and have been born of His Spirit belong to Christ and are part of His church.  The church exists to glorify and serve Christ Jesus.
